Practice is underway at the forthcoming Manx Grand Prix and last night's session saw good conditions with dry roads and clear skies. Competitors on the 500cc Classic race bikes were working their Avon race tyres hard with John MacGuinness putting in two laps at over 109mph on his Paton.
Team mates Ian Lougher and Ryan Farquhar were close behind and Jamie Hamilton quickly adapted to the classic MV Agusta, putting in a 107mph lap. Michael Dunlop was fastest of the Manx Nortons at 106mph with Dan Cooper just behind at 105mph.
The 500cc race takes place on Saturday and is the race that the TT stars want to win. Bruce Anstey, William Dunlop and michael Rutter will also be pushing for victory in this race.
