Avon Tyres secures PVR supply deal with ATS Euromaster

Premier Vehicle Rental (PVR) has selected Avon Tyres for its new three-year, fixed-term tyre supply contract through ATS Euromaster (ATSE).
PVR is aiming to double its fleet of 150 vehicles and will benefit from the combined strength of ATSE’s nationwide centre network and its fleet of nearly 1,000 mobile service vans.
As well as supplying and fitting predominantly Avon’s AV9 tyre to PVR's fleet of vans, ATSE will take care of any tyre-related breakdowns with its 24-hour, rapid-response facility, while also providing monthly fleet inspections.
PVR has been seeking to better manage costs and says streamlining tyre servicing through a national provider will help take it “from strength to strength.”
Grantham-based PVR’s long-term contract hire fleet is spread nationwide, with tyres previously being serviced by a host of local providers.
Its intention to double its fleet size in the next three years, with an increase to 220 vehicles in the next six months, means that adopting a one-stop national approach is a vital step for the business.
PVR Operations Director, Dominic McAteer, says, “We’ve been spending hours wading through paperwork from a multitude of different suppliers. We can’t afford those hours with the fleet expanding. ATS Euromaster’s support for our fleet is vital.”
Avon Tyres’ UK National Accounts Manager, James Steventon, says, “We have a very strong and long-standing relationship with ATS Euromaster and we’re delighted to work with ATSE and PVR to help provide the best possible product and service for their fleet. A business expanding at the rate at which PVR is growing needs the peace of mind that comes from knowing its fleet is in safe hands on the road.”
PVR’s fleet comprises mainly Mercedes-Benz Vito and Sprinter vans, which are rented on contracts for a minimum of 12 months. Its customers range from maintenance firms to food delivery services.
